Crazy Fun - The Crazies Review

Plot:  The Crazies was great fun to watch.  It's not about gore, it's just a good scary flick. If you like no-nonsense horror movies then you'll love this one. This movie is fast-paced, tightly written, and to the point.  The are no melodramatic frills in this film.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief

'Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief' was a cute movie, especially for teenagers. Like most films based on mythology, some of the myths are thrown in the trash can in favor of poetic license. In this instance it works, as this is a modern take on the ancient myths.  Medusa's lair (Medusa was wonderfully played by Uma Thurman) was probably one of the best I've seen.  It was a dilapidated garden shop, where all the customers have been turned to stone--very cool.

Wolfen Redux

Starring BENICIO DEL TORO, EMILY BLUNT, and ANTHONY HOPKINS.

'The Wolfman' is pretty much about as in-depth as it's title. It's about the classic tale of the werewolf. This film is a horror movie of a different era: gothic, mysterious, and beautifully moody.  It was a decent popcorn movie, but don't expect to be surprised, although there are a few cheap thrills.  Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins are wonderful as usual and the movie looks beautiful.  That's pretty much it. So buy some popcorn and enjoy it.
