Send In The Marines

Directed by JONATHAN LIEBESMAN
Starring AARON ECKHART, MICHELLE RODRIGUEZ,
RAMON RODRIGUEZ, and BRIDGET MOYNAHAN

'Battle Los Angeles' was decent, not good, just decent. If you want a movie that you can mindlessly watch and chew your popcorn, then this is the movie for you. You shouldn't expect much of a story or any useful dialogue. Just stock up at the concession stand and enjoy the ride. Unfortunately the typical hollywood script writer thinks that you're stupid and don't have the emotional depth of a gnat. When will hollywood learn that the average person is smarter than they think we are? And yes, most of us who have a job, a house, and a family are average people.

Mad Adjustment

Directed by GEORGE NOLFI
Starring MATT DAMON, EMILY BLUNT, ANTHONY MACKIE,
JOHN SLATTERY, MICHAEL KELLY, and TERENCE STAMP

This was a good movie, but not a great movie. I can't believe that this film was in anyway compared to Inception in the previews. I wouldn't mention this, except that the narrator of the tv spots for this film said it was better than 'Inception.' Huh? 'Inception' was groundbreaking, mind-boggling, wholly unique and original and one of the best films I have ever seen...period. 'The Adjustment Bureau' was just good. It has nothing on Inception, but it was fresh and interesting. Moving along, this film was basically 'Mad Men' with a supernatural twist. It was more of a drama than anything, which is fine. But if you're expecting an action film, then you'll be disappointed.
