Best, Worst, and "Ok" - Part 3

This post is specifically reserved for the best of the best in science fiction this year. These films are a shining example of solid writing, directing, and acting, which is a rarity. Please feel free to add to the list or disagree with me. All in all, I think 2011 was a good year for science fiction. End of line.

What Would Neo Do?

Terrible actor, gnarly dude, and scifi favorite--Keanu Reeves is well known for his roles in Bill & Ted, Point Break, and The Matrix (the other two sequels don't count). And although I'm a total hater, even I had an "awwwwwww" moment when watching this youtube video. Chivalry!!! It's the little things guys. THE LITTLE THINGS!!! Ok, that's out of my system.

Supernatural - The Real American Horror Story

Like many of my fellow bloggers, I'm a fan of horror and fantasy, in addition to science fiction. It goes without saying that I watch Supernatural. The cult favorite is currently in it's 7th season on perhaps the worst channel ever, the CW. If you need to catch up, TNT shows reruns every morning, Monday-Friday.

The Chronicles Of A Bad Scifi Sequel

I am hesitant to admit it, but I thoroughly enjoyed Pitch Black...for what it was, a guilty pleasure. I skipped the sequel (prequel?) because I knew that Riddick was a one-hit wonder. When I finally saw The Chronicles of Riddick on cable on a rainy Saturday afternoon, I was thankful I didn't shell out $10 at the theater. Admittedly Riddick is an enigmatic character, but sometimes no backstory is better than a bad backstory.
