No More Movies By One-Name Directors

A little eccentricity goes a long way...at least when it comes to one-named pop stars i.e. Cher, Beyonce, Tiffnay, Bono, Prince, Bjork, Seal, Shakira, Sade, Madonna, Morrissey, Elvis, etc. Other folks have joined the club too (Oprah, Fabio, Elvira, Twiggy, Penn, Teller, Topol, and Vendela). But alas, the one-name fairy godmother was not so kind to McG.

Walking Dead Season 2.5 Is A Scream

If you're a science fiction or horror fan, then AMC's The Walking Dead is mandatory viewing. Last fall, the first half of Season 2 started on slow burn, but the second half of Season 2 has been great. In fact, The Walking Dead's Season 2.5  has set a new record for the network and it's parent company, Fox International Channels.

In Memoriam - Ode to Whitney Houston

I'M A PERSON WHO HAS LIFE
and wants to live, and always have.

Yes, I'm jumping the shark, but I had to give a farwell post to the legendary Whitney Houston. Like movies, music is a big part of my life. So here's to the woman who gave me my very first record album (yes, album) as a young girl. Whitney Houston's album was the first album I chose myself. All my mom would buy me was Seasmae Street, The MuppetsCaptain & Tennille, the Yentil Soundtrack, and Crystal Gale. If it wasn't for Whitney Houston, I would have never had any decent music.

CGI Unleashed

IN TWO WORDS I WILL TELL YOU HOW
Too Much CGI Can Ruin A Movie:
MICHAEL BAY

I'd like to pose the age old question. How much is too much? How much CGI (computer generated imagery) is excessive and how much is just right? I'm in no way a purist, but I understand why some industry folks are bucking the trend and trying to halt the CGI onslaught in film and television, like No CGI Films. After seeing a monstrosity like Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon, can you blame them?
