Modern Style Retro Posters

Wanna see something cool? Retro-futuristic movie posters. Yeah...that's cool. Artist Laurent Durieux has done some rather unique pieces of some of my favorite older movies and one relatively new film ('The Master'). The first one makes me miss Philip Seymour Hoffman even more. What a wonderful Oscar tribute last night. You can see all of Durieux's work here. I'm sure these have been in circulation for a while, but if they have then I missed it. I'm always a little late to the party. Tip from my dear friend Katrina, graphic designer extraordinaire.

    1. The 'Die Hard' poster is super creative. I think I like that poster better than the movie. Jaws is great too. I like the fact that the shark is not in it.

    1. Yes, I think the Jaws one is probably my favorite! It's focused on the people, not the shark.

  4. The Birds one is my favorite. Chilling as Hitchcock's is.

    1. Hi Art-- Thanks for your comment. These are amazing posters. I love film art. I think it's one of the least appreciated forms of artwork.
