THIS IS HOW "THEY" WORK BLOGATHON

On June 29th I launched my very first blogathon based on Lifehacker's "This is How I Work" and "What's in My Bag" series.' Most blogathons I've participated in have been about movies or television. So for my first blogathon I didn't want another top 10 list. Instead I wanted to get the inside scoop on my fellow bloggers themselves and how they work. The results have been wonderful.

Learning how my fellow bloggers work has been so much fun. We are all so different and alike at the same time. For example, I've learned that my fellow bloggers, including myself, get most of our news from Twitter. I AM NO LONGER ASHAMED! We also have various daytime jobs, but one common thread seems to be writing...imagine that.

Through this blogathon I learned that Hannah's likes to "KISS" or "keep it simple stupid," M.Brown is writing his blog "as a journal/letter to [his] kids (when they're grown)," Brittani always schedules her blog posts to go live at 6:30 a.m., Tamara prefers a good old fashioned flip phone, Alex loves listening to metal music while he blogs, Katy likes to take photos old school with her trusty Canon Powershot, Jeremy sells t-shirts through NeatoShop, and the Geek Twins are addicted to Feedly and use a blogging app I've never heard of, KompoZer.

Getting an inside look into the lives of my fellow bloggers has been a fantastic experience. See the participant's individual links below. If you would like to submit an entry, please feel free to send me an email or a tweet. The deadline has passed, but if you would like to join in, please feel free. I will retweet you.

  6. It's funny everyone looks like they shared their personal computer space and well me... I guess that is what makes this challenge a challenge. We see the world in each of our eyes, from that we can get the ideas of what kinds of people we are or want to be. I am a dork, proud one... or my computer room is just really messy. Side story I was cleaning my computer room yesterday and found a shower curtain, which sounds weird but let me explain. I was taking photos of friends underneath the curtain outside while making monster faces and why? In my head, I thought it would look cool... it did.

See we all have a special place in the world and lucky people like you let us share ourselves. THANK YOU!

    Jeremy [Retro]

Ps. If you would like I can take a photo of my work space... room is cleaner now. :)
